Ambassador Konuzin had become one of the most popular politicians in Serbia after his famous statement: ‘’Are there no Serbs here?’’ at a political forum full hall where NATO-oriented Serbian politicians participated.
Serbian people feel that the only natural ally of Serbia is Russia. At the same time different politicians and bishops from Serbia who are NATO-orientated would like to gain Konuzin’s support so they could become more popular among their own people through a companionship with Konuzin.
However, Konuzin can also be an ‘’inconvenient companion’’. It had occurred that Konuzin entered Kosovo territory with humanitarian aid sent by Russia to encourage Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
The Church is very important for Serbian people in Kosovo. It used to be the only Serbian institution that provided support to the people not accepting a compromise with NATO. Serbian Church in Kosovo was an insoluble enigma to NATO. The Church was led by bishop Artemije, it grew stronger in circumstances of widest persecution done by Albanians, and the monasteries were full with monks or in a process of construction, and people gathered around the Church… And what was most important in a political sense, and also in a sense of preserving identity, the Church never accepted integration into society of a so-called ’’independent state of Kosovo’’, i.e. it didn’t accept to capitulate.
This bothered NATO, so together with local traitors they removed bishop Artemije, and vacated the monasteries. New bishop who will „collaborate’’ with Taci, the terrorist president in Kosovo, was appointed.
Only monks and priests ready for harmful compromises with NATO forces remained. However, even Teodosije and all the others want to have good relations with Russia and Konuzin because of the people. Many bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, even patriarch Irinej himself, took a part in bishop Artemije’s downfall. Cooperation with NATO had become an imperative in Kosovo.
In North Kosovo, Serbs had built a cross in the middle of a street, as a symbol of resistance and prayer. NATO was against that cross, but could not respond. However, that is why patriarch Irinej responded: ‘’Remove that cross’’, he said. And of course Serbs did not obey this.
Konuzin arrived in Kosovo with a large humanitarian aid sent by Russia primarily as a brotherly support. On that occasion, among other things, president Putin sent two icons intended for two temples in Kosovo, and…Bishop Teodosije could not (or dare not) receive them, so he sent one of his priests!
Why he didn’t dare? According to a politician from the opposition side, Marko Jaksic, NATO recommended Teodosije not to receive the icon from Konuzin. NATO maliciously looked at enthusiasm about Russia expressed by Serbs from Kosovo. The Konuzin’s visit gave additional hope that Kosovo will remain in Serbia and will be liberated from invaders.
The story does not end here. Most of the SOC bishops, who are in collusion with Boris Tadic, want to show their affection for Russia because of the people, although they appointed NATO puppet in Kosovo-Teodosije. In order to prove all mentioned, few days ago Serbian patriarch Irinej in the presence of politicians from both sides, pro-NATO oriented and patriotic side, awarded Konuzin with the Order of Saint Sava. That was a good marketing move for politicians following Boris Tadic and his bishops.
Konuzin knows where the truth is. In several occasions he had mentioned it to people he met privately. His restraint regarding this issue means that as a diplomat he still lacks approval to interfere and speak up about betrayal done by Serbian politicians and many bishops.
The efforts carried out by bishop Artemije for his people and fatherland are known to him. Although due to diplomatic reasons he cannot express his support as an ambassador, it doesn’t mean he does not support attitudes of bishop Artemije. Why then he would visit the exiled bishop Artemije when he was forcibly expelled from Kosovo by Irinej and Teodosije? At least he could answer his question himself ‘’Are there Serbs in Serbia?’’
Yes, there are Serbs, and those are the ones following bishop Artemije in his battle for the Orthodoxy, Serbian Kosovo and Serbia.
